Medium sized shorties

I wanted to try my hand at making a pair of shorties without a pattern.  This is what I came up with.  Unfortunately, I didn't write it down so I have no clue what to do to do it again.

This is made with Andes wool in dark purple and muddy green that I got at my LYS! :)

Zippered Back Baby Sweater

I made this zippered back baby sweater last week.  I did it pretty much from combining a couple patterns and then taking off and doing my own thing as well.  I didn't have a baby to try it on, nor to even measure, so I was really hoping it would fit SOME baby! LOL  I was really pleased with how it turned out.  My mom's friend took it home to try on her grandson (isn't he just precious??).  He is 2 months old, 12 lbs.  The arms fit ok, but the bottom of the sweater needs to go a bit longer, the head hole needs to be a bit wider, the hoodie needs to be a bit bigger and come forward just a little as well.  All in all, I'm pleased, though.  For not having a baby to check it out on, it worked out ok.  Now that I've tried it on a baby I can make all the adjustments I need and go forth with many more of these sweaters! :)
