Gluten Free Cheesecake

3 packages of gluten free cream cheese
1 large tub of whipped topping
1 large package of peach gelatin
1 large can of sliced peaches
1 box of gluten free cookies (optional)

open cookies and crush up. Lay on bottom of large 9x11 pan. This is optional because you don't have to have a crust on it. We prefer it with none and don't use one usually.

open can of peaches & drain.
put 1/2 of the can of peaches in mixer with cream cheese and refrigerated whipped topping (not frozen) and gelatin. Mix for 4 minutes or so, until it is all mixed thoroughly.

Pour mixture in 9x11 pan (over cookie crumbs if you did that). Top with the rest of peaches and chill for a couple hours.

Note: Other recipes similar to this call for 3/4 c or 1 c of sugar. This REALLY is not needed. The cheesecake is VERY tasty and plenty sweet without the added sugar.

My Mom Really Liked The Last Cloche Hat I Made

so she took it. LOL, yeah she took it and gave it to her friend. So now she's told me I need to make one for her other friend. Last night I whipped up this pretty little hat for her.

I hope she likes it! :)

Serena The Silent Mermaid

I'd like to introduce Serena. She is a pretty mermaid that is currently residing in the deep blue sea of my yarn basket. She is a svelt 13" long with pretty brown eyes and a gorgeous tailfin. Her pretty bottom is crafted of blue and turquoise wool. Her body is a creamy cotton. Her hair is a pretty seafoam wool and she is wearing a pink cotton seashell bikini top.

Elmo Hat (Pattern)

Here is my son getting ready to go to the Elmo Live concert with his new Elmo hat!

MC: Red
OC1: Orange
OC2: White
Minuscule amount of black yarn

Darning Needle
Hooks: K, I

Stitches:
Magic Adjustable Ring
TC: Treble Crochet
DC: Double Crochet
HDC: Half Double Crochet
HHDC: Herringbone Half Double Crochet
SC: Single Crochet

**There was an error in the pattern.  I have now fixed it - as of May of 2011**

Hat:

With MC with K hook
DC 8 into magic ring,  sl st into top of ch 3 (8)
Row 1: Chain 2, 2 DC in same stitch.  (by this I mean right into the bottom of where the ch2 comes from ... where you had slip stitched into at the end of the row) 2DC in each DC around. Slip stitch into first dc (16)
Row 2: Chain 2, DC in the same stitch. (1 DC in next stitch, 2 DC in next stich.) Repeat around. Slip stitch into first dc (24)
Row 3: Chain 2, DC in the same stitch. (1 DC in next 2 stitches, 2 DC in next stich.) Repeat around.Slip stitch into first dc (32)
Row 4: Chain 2, DC in the same stitch. (1 DC in next 3 stitches, 2 DC in next stich.) Repeat around.Slip stitch into first dc  (40)
Row 5: Chain 2, DC in the same stitch. (1 DC in next 4 stitches, 2 DC in next stich.) Repeat around. Slip stitch into first dc (48)
Rows 6-9: Chain 2, DC in the same stitch. 1DC in each stitch around. Slip stitch into first dc. (48)
Row 10: Chain 2. HHDC in same stitch. 1 HHDC in each stitch around. Slip stitch into first HHDC. (48)
Row 11: Chain 1. SC in same stitch. 1 SC in each stitch around. Slip stitch in CH1. FO.

Nose: OC1 with I hook
HDC 8 on a magic adjustable ring
This is done amigurumi style, so there is no slip stitching and chaining to start a row. Spiral like.
Row 1: 2 SC in each HDC around (16)
Row 2: 1 HC & 1 DC in next stitch. 2 DC in next stitch. FO (leave long tail to sew onto hat later.)

Eyes: (make 2)
Black yarn with I hook
SC 8 on a magic adjustable ring.  Slip stitch into first sc. - change color to OC2 (white) here.

Row 1: Chain 2. HDC in same stitch. 2 HDC in each HDC around (16) Slip stitch into 2nd chain of the CH2.
Row 2: Chain 1. *2SC in next stitch, 1SC in next stitch* - Repeat from * to * around.
FO Leave long tail to sew to hat.

Now assemble the hat to look like Elmo. Use a darning needle to sew the eyes and nose to the hat.

Hey! Skip the nose and change the colors up a bit and create some other Sesame St characters!

Make some wonky eyes and you have Cookie Monster!

Add some fun fur yarn and make some brows for Oscar!

Add some fun fur for hair, a couple small ears, and change the eyes and nose up a bit and you have Abby Cadaby!

Here is another of my sons wearing his Oscar hat at Sesame St Live!

Spring Flower Cloche

I ran out of projects to do, so I whipped this up yesterday. I have no little girl to wear it. I guess I need to start selling things on etsy. This one isn't perfect, though. I should have used a thicker yarn for the hat and a thinner one for the ribbon & flower. Oh well… I know this now for the next time.

A Pretty Ribbed Lace Bolero

I'm doing a swap on craftster and the woman I'm swapping with wanted this. As you can see, it is a knitted piece and I just do not do knitting. So I looked and looked at the picture and decided I could do a similar piece by crocheting it. No, it wouldn't be the same, but a close enough try. (We didn't have to do the exact thing on their wists, just get inspiration from them). So this is what I made! (Sorry I don't have anyone in her size here to model it so it, so the computer chair is my model! LOL)

The Buffalo Zoo :)

We went to the Buffalo Zoo on Wednesday. It was nice. I very much prefer the Erie Zoo, but the Buffalo one was nice too.

My sweet husband and his awesome find!

Look! I'm finally organized! Can you believe it? I barely can. My sweet husband found this beautiful dresser at a friend's house. The friend wanted to get rid of it, and my sweet honey picked it up for me to put all my craft supplies in! :)

Before:
(see everything piled in baskets, bins and just everywhere behind Niko?)

After: (I'd say he's a keeper!!)

A Raven

Made for a bird swap on craftster. No pattern. Just looked at a pic. The beak is a little wonky and I'm going to work on that I think.

D-d-d-d-Dora! Dora The Explorer dress!

For my cousin's daughter for her birthday. My mom bought the doll and I made the dress. I used darski's nightgown pattern on crochetville, just changed it from the bodice down. :)
